Avenue de New York

Why take a photo here?
This urban riverside stretch offers a powerful, elevated view of the Eiffel Tower with the Seine flowing below. The wide sidewalk and railings give space to shoot city-style compositions — perfect for fashion, movement, or moody golden-hour portraits. You’re standing just above the river, with Pont d’Iéna at your side.
Best time to shoot:
Late afternoon or early evening. Sunset light warms the buildings and highlights the Eiffel Tower beautifully from this angle.
Pro tip:
Use the railing as a leading line and step back for a wide, cinematic shot. Many Instagrammers frame the iconic Avenue de New York street sign, fixed to the riverside wall, in the foreground — with the Eiffel Tower rising in the background.
The path continues along both sides of Pont d’Iéna on the same riverbank — with Port Debilly running just below. You can shoot great angles from either side of the bridge, upper or lower.
