Galerie Véro-Dodat
Back to all places
Why take a photo here?
Because it feels like stepping back in time. This 19th-century covered passage is lined with antique shops, art galleries, and boutiques. The black-and-white diamond floor tiles, glass roof, and long, symmetrical perspective create photos that look both timeless and cinematic.
Best time to shoot:
Midday, when natural light filters through the glass roof. The arcade is usually quiet compared to other passages, which makes it easier to take clean, atmospheric shots.
Pro tip:
Stand at one end of the passage to capture the full length of the patterned floor leading your eye to the arches. Play with depth of field by placing a person in the middle of the gallery — it emphasizes both the symmetry and scale.
