Les Deux Magots

Why take a photo here?
Les Deux Magots is another Saint-Germain icon, just across from Café de Flore. Known as the café of intellectuals, it was once the hangout spot of Hemingway, Simone de Beauvoir, Sartre, Picasso, and many more. Its green awnings, traditional Parisian terrace, and rich history make it an essential stop — both for coffee and for capturing that timeless Left Bank vibe.
Best time to shoot:
Morning for softer light and fewer crowds, or evening when the terrace fills with life.
Pro tip:
Frame your photo from across the square to include the full façade and the bustling outdoor seating. A detail shot of the café’s name on the awning is also instantly recognizable.
