Metro Line 6 (between Passy & Bir-Hakeim)
Back to all places
Why take a photo here?
Because you’re gliding through the sky with the Eiffel Tower rising beside you — no other metro line gives you this cinematic experience. Line 6 crosses the Seine on an elevated track between Passy and Bir-Hakeim stations, offering a unique, open-air view of the tower that feels straight out of a film.
Best time to shoot:
Late afternoon to golden hour. The light hits the tower just right as you pass by, and reflections from the Seine below add extra glow.
Pro tip:
Sit or stand on the left-hand side of the train when heading in the direction of Nation. Be ready with your phone or camera as the metro exits Passy station and heads toward the river — the Eiffel Tower appears suddenly, so timing is everything. Slow-motion videos work especially well here.
